Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on May 4, 1979 with those persons indicated in Paragraph I above. The status of various open items was discussed. Additional information was requested to supplement the licensee's response to Infraction Item 369/79-25-02.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (0 pen) Deficiency 369/79-14-03, Cable 1 * NC 752 lead reversal at transmitter INCPT5050. The licensee's April 12, 1979 response to RII advised that all safety-related terminal blocks inside contain-ment were being replaced by environmentally sealed splices. This work was stopped pending review and revision of procedure M-41B Serial No. 15, Inspection Instruction for Terminations. This item remains open pending review of the splicing operations.
(Closed) Infraction 369/79-15-01, Failure to follow procedures for instrumentation manifold valve installation.
The inspector reviewed the inspection records for the isolation and manifold valves on functionally safety-related instrument loops. These records were referenced in DPC's March 12, 1979 response to RII.
The closed NCR (7723) for the four isolation valves which were found to contain the incorrect number of diaphrams and the four indicated valves were examined.
(Closed) Infraction 370/78-18-01, Weld rod control-failure to follow procedures. The inspection reviewed NCR 8235 dateJ February 1, 1979 which was written to cover some uncontrolled welding material.
The closure of this NCR included certification that the personnel in the area were reinstructed in the control of welding material.
A tour of the reactor and auxiliary buildings indicated that in the areas examined, welding material control appears adequate and the actions listed in DPC's February 19, 1979 response to RII have been implemented.

(Closed) Infraction 370/78-14-04, Failure to follow pipe Cleanli-ness Procedure.
The inspector toured the Unit 2 reactor building to check tor unprotected pipe openings. The records documenting the reinstruction of craft personnel and QC inspectors as reported in DPC's December 6, 1978 response to RII were reviewed. The joint (ISO-MCF1-2MC2) has been welded, radiographed and accepted.
(Closed) Unresolved Item 369/79-12-01, Improper storage of safety-related HEPA filters. The inspector examined the storage condi-tions in warehouse # 1.
These filters are now stored in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
(0 pen) Infraction 369/79-25-02, Lack of documented procedure for Main Steam Safety Valve Assembly - The licensee's response to RII dated April 18, 1979 advised that NCR #8394 had been written to document the corrective action. Review of this NCR revealed that only instructions to use the controlled manufacturer's assembly manual was addressed.
No completion date was given for the correct assembly of these valves.
Inspection of these valves was made and no corrective action has been taken. DPC was instructed to submit additional information which should reflect when the valves will be reassembled properly, what inspection will be performed and when the valves will be calibrated.

Unresolved Items Unresolved items were not identified during this inspection.

Licensee Identified Items (LII) (10 CFR 50.55(e) (0 pen) LII 369/79-22-01, Pressurizer Power Operated Relief Valves.
The licensee notified RII that during pre-op testing of Unit 1, the 3 pressurizer power operated relief valves did not operate properly. The licensee's report was submitted to RII April 13, 1979. The new parts have not yet been received.
(open) LII 369/79-22-02, Pipe Hanger Deficiencies. The licensee reported April 11, 1979 that a QA audit of QC accepted pipehangers had determined that all acceptance criteria had not been satisfied.
DPC's report is due May 11, 1979.
(open) LII 370/79-11-02, Loose Parts on a 400HP RHR Pump Motor.
DPC advised RII on April 23,1979 that a 400HP RHR pump motor was found to have loose " fingers".
DPC's report is due May 23, 1979.
(0 pen) LII 369/79-22-03, 370/79-11-01, Improper Insulation on Electrical Leads.
Duke Power Company's response dated January 4, 1979 indicated the deficient coils would be replaced with qualified coi13. The inspector reviewed the list that identified the valves requiring replacement coils and those that have been nr 01: 3 "'" }v
