  • hr. J. P. O'Reilly Attachment June 19, 1979 I.E. INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-369/79-22 AND 50-370/79-11 Infraction 369/79-15-02; Lack of Decemented Prccedure for Main Steam Safety Valve '3sembly Supplemental Response Infraction 369/79-15-02 was originally interpreted by Duke Power Company as involving only procedural deficiencies in the reassembly of the main steam safety valves. As a result the response only addressed this aspect of the infraction. In subsequent discussions with Region II personnel and in IE Report Nos. 50-369/79-22, 50-370/79-11, additional information was requested to supplement our original response. Duke was requested to submit additional information addressing when the valves will be reassembled properly, what inspection will be performed and when the valves will be ;alibrated.

The repair and reassembly will be performed by Duke mai..tenance personnel and will be inspected by both the Duke Quality Assurance Department and a vend,r repre entative. The valves will be calibrated during the second Hot Functional Test to be conducted prior to fuel loading.
