Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on June 26, 1979, with those persons indicated in Paragraph 1 above.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Unresolved Item (369/79-20-02):
Lack of administrative controls to insure that maintenance activities do not invalidate properational tests. The inspector reviewed Revision 2 to Station Directive 3.2.1 "Identi-fying, Scheduling and Performance of Plant Testing." A section has been added governing the retest of systems / components following maintenance acti-vities. Adequate controis appear to have been implemented to insure that maintenance activities will not invalidate Preoperational testing.

Open Items (Closed) Open Item (369/79-16-02):
Vibration testing of reactor vessel internals.
The inspector reviewed the McGuire Nuclear Station safety Evaluation Report, Supplement No. 2, dated Msrch 1979.
Section 3.9.1 of this supplement deletes the requirement of performing vibrational prototype testing on the reactor vessel internals of McQuire Unit 1.
(Closed) Open Item (369/78-16-04):
Chemistry cont rol to be demonstrated during power ascension testing. The inspector verified that test procedures had been approved and issued which require verification of primary and secondary system chemistry control at specified power levels during power ascension testing.

(Closed) Open Item (369/78-35-06):
Timely notification of appropriate personnel when a component system fails to pass a surveillance test. The inspector reviewed Revision 2 of station directive 3.2.1 which had been revised to insure that the operational staff received prompt notification of such an event.
(Closed) Open Item (369/79-17-02):
Apparent discrepancies on two pipe supports. The inspector discussed the apparent discrepancies with licensee representatives.
Spring can ISM-29 had been reinspected and found to be within its design load range. Hanger ICA-245 is being evaluated in the formal plant review of all pipe supports on safety related systems.
(Closed) Open Items (369/78-38-11):
Adequacy of Nuclear service water system (NSWS).
In discussions with office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation personnel, the inspector verified the acceptability of the NSWS with respect to the failure mode postilulated in IE Report No. 50-369/78-38.
(Closed) Open Item (369/'l8-35-01): Snubber seal material. The inspector reviewed a letter from ITT Grinnel which confirmed that all elastomeric sealing materials used in Grinnell Fig. 200/201 hydraulic shock suppressors supplied for use at McGuire, were of ethelyene propylene materials.
(Closed) Open Item (369/79-06-01):
Resolution of coments on operating procedures. The inspector reviewed licensee's action taken in response to the subject coments and had no further questions.

IE Circulars The inspector verified that IE circulars 78-19 and 79-02 had been received at the f acility and routed to the appropriate management representatives for review.

Status of Test Program The inspector reviewed the status of the overall Unit I test program with licensee representatives. A sumary of the status follows:
