Enclosed is supplement Licensee Event Report 98-010-01 for Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1

and 2. This report is provided in accordance with 10 CFR 50.73(a)(2)(i)(B),"Any operation or "
condition prohibited by the plant's Technical Specifications." The original report describes the discovery that Technical Specification surveillance of the containment spray channel functional test was not adequate. Subsequent to the completion of the corrective actions proposed in that report, licensee personnel determined that the testing for continuity of the containment spray logic test switches was incomplete. The testing did not independently verify test L.Geh continuity to both Train A and Train B containment spray logic relays.
