I am responding to your_ letter to Chairman Selin dated February 1,1993, in  !

your letter, you indicated yaui concern regarding "the inadequacy of the NRC's >

response to the questions of degradation at Vermont Yankee." In addition, you i stated a need for "a thorough, systematic and pJ1bljI investigation of the safety components" at Vermont Yankee, and a "r.eed to know more about (the NRC's) criteria." i I

Hr. Michael Daley, of the New England Coalition on= Nuclear Pollution, raised-similar concerns originally in a letter to Chairman Selin dated December 16, i 1992. He sent a second letter to Chairman Selin on February 9,1993, raising concerns similar to yours though in greater detail. A response to Mr. Daley's {
