COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT NO. 2 (TAC NO. M82549) j Enclosed is a copy of an " Environmental Assessment and finding of No Significant Impact" for your information. This assessment relates to the application from TV Electric dated January 20, 1986, requesting an exemption from the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix J. Section Ill.D.2(b)(ii) concerning containment airlock leakage testing. The staff granted this -

exemption for Unit I and the evaluation is contained in our Safety Evaluation Report, Supplement No. 22 dated January 1990. The staff's evaluation of this request for Unit 2 will be published in our Safety Evaluation Report, Supplement No. 26.

The assessment has been forwarded to the Office of the federal Register for publication.
