Pursuant to Oconee Nuclear Station Technical Specification 4.17.6(b), Duke Power  !

Company (Duke) is providing the following information concerning the Oconee Unit I steam generator inservice inspection. The inservice inspection and tube plugging l operation for the current Unit I refueling outage was completed on March 7, 1986.

There were approximately 3,188 tubes inspected in the Unit 1 OTSG "A". For Unit 1 OTSG "B", there were approximately 8,012 tubes inspected. The eddy current testing was conducted from the inlet end of the generator and covered the entire length of the tube.

Please find attached (Attachments 1 and 2) lists of tubes located in Oconee Unit 1 OfSGs "A" and "B" respectively which have eddy current indications of tube wall degradation greater than or equal to 20% but less than 40%. Also attached (Attach-ments 3 and 4) are lists d tunes from the same OTSGs which have eddy current indications of tube wall degradation greater than or equal to 40% (the limit for plugging) and which have been plugged.
