Dear Sir:

By my letter dated April 20, 1988 I had advised you of a change in a commitment.regarding the completion of Human Engineering Discrepancy (HED) modifications at Oconee.

I had stated that it was necessary to extend the implementation of HED solutions from four (4) refueling outages to six refueling outages.- As such all HED related modifications would be completed during Unit 1 EOC 14 refueling outage; Unit 2 E0C 13 refueling outage; and Unit 3 E0C 13 refueling outage. My review of the progress indicates that we are on schedule in meeting the above implementation schedule.

Furthermore, we have reviewed the remaining HED's to be implemented to determine if any of those remaining were safety significant in regard to plant operation. Our conclusion of this effort is that there are no remaining HED modifications that are safety significant for the overall operation of the plant.
