SUBJECT:
Duke Power Company Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3 Docket Nos. 50-269, -270, ~287 Proposed Amendment to the Reactor Building Structural Integrity Technical Specifications i
Editorial Correction In letters dated October 30,
- 1996, April 22,
- 1997, and September 3, 1997, Duke Energy Corporation (Duke) submitted 4
a proposed amendment to the Oconee Technical Specifications which ado esses the structural integrity of the re. actor buildings. In a letter to Duke dat.ed September 15, 1997,- tile NRC approved the requested amendments (Nos 225, 225, and 222 for - FOL DPR 38, 47, nnd 55, respectively).
It is Duke's process to review amendments for accuracy prior to officially updating the Technical Specifications. During the 1
review of the approved amendment, an oversight of an editorial nature was discovered in the Duke September 3,
1997 supplement that carried over iv.to the approved amendments.
Purt of a sentence, that had previously been included in the April 22, 1997 submittal, was inadvertently
-deleted in the September 3,
1997 supplement.
This typographical error occurs at th. bottom of revised Oconee Technical Specification page 4.4-15 where the first part of what should be item number 5 was omitted. Because of page spacing, re-insertion of the omitted words beginning at the top of page 4.4-16 is-desired. This change will affect the format and spacing of pages 4.4-16 tnrough 4.4-19, but wilA not affect the technical content. Please review and reissue 9709260312 9709t9I MlO/
