Oconee Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-269, -270, -287 Proposed Revision to the Chemistry Technical Specification Sections 3.1.5, 3.1.10 and 4.1 Cost Beneficial Licensing Action Item Response to Request for Additional Information By letter dated February 20, 1996, a chance to Technical Specifications 3.1.5, 3.1.10 and Table 4.1 was proposed.

Per a conference call, the NRC requested additional information regarding justification for changing the surveillance requirements for the Reactor Coolant System.

Please find Duke's response to this request in Attachment 3. Editorial changes to pages 4.1-10 and 4.1-12 are provided in Attachment 1. provides a marked-up copy of the current Technical Specifications.

The information provided in the submittal does not change the 'No Significant Hazards Consideration' t was contained in the February 20, 1996, submittal.

I am forwarding a copy of this application to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control for review and, as appropriate, subsequent consultation with the staff.
