RE: Changes to Operating License No.

57F-2 Technical Specifications Alabama Power Company proposes the attached changes to Joseph M.

}- Farley Nuclear Plant Operating License No. NPF-2 Technical Specification involving the following items:

Technical Specifications 3.3.3.9 (Table 3.3-12) and 3.7.11.3 concerning the deletion of reference to fire protection of the river water structure.

Technical Specifications 3.7.11.6, Table 3.7-5, Table 3.7-6., and bases 3/4.7.11 concerning the addition of fire piotection specifications reflect-ing completion of systems added pursuant to the requirements of the Farley Nuclear Plant Fire Pro-tection Program Re-evaluation.

The Plant Operations Review Committee and the Nuclear Operations Re-view Board have reviewed the above proposed changes and have determined that the changes do not involve an unreviewed safety question as shown in the attached safety evaluation.

The class of this proposed amendment is designated according to 10 CFR 170 requirements. This change package is deemed not to involve a significant hazard consideration which is considered Class III according to 10 CFR 170.

A check for $4,000 is enclosed to cover the fees required.
