You may recall that during a recent telephone conver-nation with Chuck Whitney of this office you requested a copy of the Vogtle C6nstruction Safety Evaluation Re1 ort

("SER"). We have located a copy of that report and inve had it reproduced pursuant to your request. I am enclosing a copy of the Construction SER, dated March 8, 1974, for your records.

In that the disc.overy stage of the licensing case hac begun we are responding to your request as an accomodation.

We are not, however, waiving any relevancy or materiality objections that we may have to future requests involving the a Construction SER or any issue arising under the Construction g SER.

I am writing to confirm the Plant Vogtle tour scheduled for Sunday, October 14, 1984, beginning at 12:30 p.m. We would appreciate your askin'g members of Campaign for a Prosperous Georgia'and Georgians Against Nuclear Energy who will be participatin~g in'the tour to be at the Plant Vogtle Visitor's Center at that tim'e. I have enclosed a e map and written directions to the Vogtle sit'.

By copy of this*1etter I would lik'e to invite thu NRC staff and members of the Lic'ensin's Board to participate in' this' tour. Also, if'other partie's are not able to particip' ate, we will gladly make arrangements for another ,

DIRECTIONS TO PLANT V0GTLE FROM THE AUGUSTA AIRPORT (8USH FIEL Plant Vogtle is approximately 30 miles Southeast of Augusta. The travel time to the pkant from Bush Field is about 40 minutes.

- Exit from the airport on Tobacco Road and proceed 1.2 miles to Highway

56. Turn left onto Highway 56.

Go 9.8 miles and turn left onto Highway 56 Spur. Go 14.5 miles to the plant entrance (Note: Highway 56 Spur will change names to River Road at the intersection of Highway 80).

Turn lef t into the first plant entrance if going to the construction offices; or Turn left into the second plant entrance if going to the Visitors Center or Administration Building. TheVisitorsCenterisayellowbuildinh
