Dear Laurie:

As you know, the period allowed for depositions with regard to the Quality Assurance issue will begin April 4, 1985, and will last for 30 days until May 3, 1985.

We recognize that you have not specifically identified in response to written discovery any witness whom you will call at the hearing on the Quality Assurance issue. Never-theless, we assume, based on prior informal conversations, that your Quality Assurance witnesses will be Messrs. Doug Teper, Marc Merlin and Tim Johnson. Therefore, we would like to depose these individuals. I suggest that we depose Messrs. Teper and Merlin on April 17 and 18, 1985, respect-ively. We would like to take Mr. Johnson's deposition on the Quality Assurance issue on Monday, April 22, 1985. The depositions would begin at 9:30 in the morning and continue .

throughout the day until completed. I propose that we take the depositions in our office.

I will appreciate your consulting with these three witnesses and letting us know whether they have any con-flict on the proposed dates. If any of these three indi-viduals is not going to be a witness on the Quality Assur-ance issue, let us know and we will consider cancelling that deposition. Also, if there are more witnesses on the issue, please let me have those names so that we can schedule their depositions during the week of April 22, 1985.
