INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF ZIMMER PH0 JECT MANAGEMENT BIVE2KLY STATUS REPORT 50. 4 FOR THE PERIOD ENDING JUNE 17, 1983 The status report below is in reference to the Torrey Pines Technology Program Plan, document number GA-C17044, Revision A,

" Independent Review of ZIMMER Project Management," dated May, 1983 During this period the TPT Review Team spent the first week working at the Zimmer site reviewing documents, conducting interviews, anl collecting data relevant to each task in the Program. On June 10, the team returned to San Diego, where they have continued to review documents and initiate work on evalua-ting the data and preparing initial drafts of the task reports.

Attachment "A" lists the individuals who were interviewed during the week of June 10. During the second week, some idividuals were also contacted by telephone for the answers to specific questions which came up from the the review of documents and/or the notes on interviews. Such telephone conversations have been documented in accordance with NRC's protocol.

The count and identification was completed of all the documents cataloged by the review team during the visit to Zimmer which ended on June 10. There were 2,794 documents from this visit which have been identified and are being reviewed.

As of June 17, a total of 7,252 manhours have been expended on this review of the Zimmer project management. The volume of documents has been somewhat greater than anticipated and the project was approximately one week behind the Project Schedule given in the revised Program Plan.
