Dear Mr. Murray:

l In the forepart of May we recommended Maurice Prather, a member of our organization, be appointed to serve on the Cincinnati Environmental Advisory Council.
We talked with Mr. Prather today and he tells me that he was rejected by the Council.
I am strongly protesting this negative decision.
According to the bylaws of the council, you being the City Manager, have the authority to appoint the members.
I am requesting you exercise this authority and appoint Mr. Prather.
If you refuse to do so I am urging you to eliminate Tom Carpenter, representing the Miami Valley Power Project.
Mr. Carpenter is opposed to the Zimmer Power Station and yet he continues on as a member of the Council.
Mr. Prather is extremely well qualified to serve on the Council and I presume his appointment has been blocked by the anti-Zimmer forces who, seemingly, control the Council.
Additionally, I would like to know who the.recent appointees l
are and why they have been appointed.and Mr. Prather not l
appointed.
