An unusual arount of heavy work in the Contain .ent buildine during the recent refueling cutage caused the Sanpler to draw in ruch dust and dirt. A routine surveillance test would have included disassembly of the detecter asse. bly during the outace. Hov ever, 'the surveillance test was performed early in 1979 durino an unplanned outage. Due to the lengthy cuta:es and the tyce of work perforced in the ;ontainment building, rcre dust and dirt was drawn through the sampler li;,es than is expected ncrrally.
