i This letter will confirm our conversation by telephone on February 29, 1980. As you know, the Department of Justice has subpoenaed certain documents from Gulf States Utilities Company in connection with the captioned proceeding. The Department of Justice subpoena covers some of the same areas covered by the subpoena previously issued at the request of

• the Brownsville Public Utilities Board. ,

Our review of the documents furnished to the Department of Justice indicates that some may relate to areas of concern

'in the Brownsville subpoena as well. Therefore, in the .

.c interest of fairness, we are making the documents provided to Justice available for inspection and copying to all of the parties in these proceedings. The documents may be inspec'ted at our office or at the office of Gulf States Utilities in Beaumont, Texas, during normal working hours upon reasonable notice.

l I note that the availability and use of designated propriety documents are covered by the Amendment of Protective Order dated February 8, 1980 in the captioned proceeding. If
