Cygna informed Stone & Webster (SWEC) that Revision 4 of the Pipe 1 Stress RIL had been issued by Cygna letter No. 84056.119, dated September 16, 1987.

SWEC stated that the calculation which evaluates the Hfects of pressur7 on ;md weld stresses (No.15454-NZ(B)GENX 35, Revision 2) will x finished Monday, Se ptember 21, 1987. A propet memorandum will be issued describing tle results of this calculation. <

SWEC will telecopy this project memorandum for Cygna's review and will then issue a letter stating that the final action of SWEC has been fulfilled. The Pipe Stress RIL will then be completely closed out.

1. O Cygna asked how SWEC could invoke a later code edition for pil t mismatch butt weld stress intensification factors in the design

! criteria (CPPP-7, Revision 3, Section 3.10.7.3 ) without an NA 1140 review?

! A Mr. Ogden stated that Revision 2 to the SWEC NA 1140 Review Document (15454-N c}OO7, September 30, 1987) does review this issue. A copy of (this report and SWEC Project Manager PM 155 will be sent to Cygna for aview.

2. O Cygna hasn't received a copy of Project Memorandum PM.137 (Wall Thmning Criteria) yet. SWEC committed to send this as documented in the Communication Report dated September 28, 1987.

A SWEC will include a copy of Project Memorandum PM 137 with the other information.

3. Cygna will issue a letter closing all pip: stress RIL topics upon receipt and satisfactry review of these documents.
