May 13, 1980 Related to SECY-8-131 Chairman John 1hearne e/o Secretary of the Commission United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555 I am non-plussed, angry ard distressed that Allens Creek Nuclear Station is not being scrutinized for a possible Class 9 event.

Since the possibility of a " melt-down" is of primary concern to me,+ fM everyone who lives anywhere mar the proposed plant, it seets wise to include this subject for NRC staff analysis before the licensing board conducts a hearing.

I applaud the NRC decision to consider Class 9 accident possibilities before licensing new plants but think those with pealing applications should also be so evaluated.
