Docket Nos. 0-26 ) ,

Dear Sir:

%4 This letter supplements my letters of July 7, October 28, November 4, 1980 and February 2, 1981.

To date, analysis is 98% complete on Priority I walls. Priority II and III walls include a large proportion of walls which have configurations which are much more difficult to analyze than those in Priority I. Because of this, greater analysis time will be required. Approximately 25% of the analysis required for Priority II walls has been completed, and Priority III has not begun.

The project schedule for the completion of IE Bulletin 80-11 is as shown in Attach-ment 1. As is indicated, Duke plans to follow a parallel path program wherein walls which do not comply with the long term acceptance criteria will be upgraded during the performance of detailed analyses.

The quantity of walls being reviewed for the three units at Oconee has made it necessary for Duke to agressively recruit qualified engineers to augment our own staff. We feel that we have assembled as large an organization as can be effectively managed to complete the bulletin requirements in an expeditious manner. This organization consists of both permanent Duke employees and contract employees work-ing on a regular overtime basis. We continue to devote extensive financial and manpower resources completing required work as soon as possible.

l V ry truly yours
