Transmittal of Appendix A to CEN-152, Revision 02.

Dear Mr. Knighton:

The purpose of this letter is to inform the staff that the PVNGS Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) have been revised to incorporate the Inadequate Core Cooling Instru-mentation (ICCI) in accordance with CEN-152, Revision 02, "Emergency Procedure Guide-lines." The staff had approved the use of t'.he CEN-152, Revision 02 ICCI information at PVNGS provided that the staff's comments on pages 22-8 and 22-9 of Reference (1) were addressed or incorporated into the PVNGS EOPs. Since the issuance of Reference (1) the staff's comments on pages 22-8 and 22-9 have been addressed by the Combustion Engineering Owners Group per the submittal of Reference (3). Reference (3) is Appendix A to CEN-152, Revision 02 and is attached to this letter as our response to the staff's comments found on the above subject pages of Reference (1).

We believe that this information being submitted, sufficiently satisfies .the require-ments of Item 3 (page'2-9) of Reference (1) and the PVNGS Unit 1 License Condition 2.C.(8).
