Units 1, 2 and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530 Extension of Material Balance Report Submittal Date This letter documents a telephone conversation between Glenn Michael, Senior Licensing

Engineer, Arizona Public Service (APS), and Mr. Chuck

Emeigh, Section Chief, Licensing and Safeguards Branch, NRC, on April 21, 1999.

APS initiated the phone call to request an extension for submitting the next material balance report for PVNGS required by 10 CFR 70.53 and 74.13.

The next required material balance report submittal is due by April 30, 1999, but 10 CFR 74.13(a)(1) contains the provision that the Commission may permit a licensee to submit the reports at other times when good cause is shown.

Mr. Emeigh agreed that APS may delay submittal of the next material balance report until May 31, 1999.

APS commits to submit the next material balance report required by 10 CFR 70.53 and 74.13 by May 31, 1999.
