Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Post Restart Items File: 90-019-419 On April 12, 1990, I provided you with an updated list of Post Restart items (Reference) which included revised due dates for some items.
The purpose of this letter is to update you on the status of record number 546.
The commitment for record number 546 was to "Revise procedures for,analyzing and'isseminating incident investigation, operations and maintenance experience to the. appropriate departments, per the charter for the PS&C department."
Reorganization of the Plant Standards and Control Department resulted in this item now being addressed by three separate organizations Plant Performance, Operations Standards, and Maintenance Standards.
Accordingly, record 546 has been revised to read "'evise procedures for analyzing and disseminating incident investigation, operations,,and'aintenance experience to the appiopriate departments.'"
The current status of record number 546 is as follows:
1.
Plant Performance action is complete.
Procedures are revised to analyze and disseminate incident investigation experience.
2.
Operations Standards action is not yet complete.
Currently, operations experience is analyzed and disseminated by way of an informal required reading program.
Implementing procedures are being developed to formalize this policy and are expected by December 31, 1990.
3.
Maintenance Standards action is not yet complete.
'The required procedure revisions are currently in the, review cycle.
These procedures are expected to 'be effective by August '30, 1990.
