Dear Mr. Norris:

I have only one comment .regarding the construction of two power reactors by the Skagit/Hanford Nuclear Project (S/HNP) at Hanford. Purchasing and finishing the terminated Supply Systempplants at Hanford and Satsop should be considered as one alternative to the proposed action.

Finishing the Supply System plants would have less environmental and eco-nomic impact on the region than construction of two new plants. The Tri-Cities area is extremely sensitive to .the boom-bus% phenomenon. It is going through such a phase right now. Resuming work on llNP k'4 would cer-tainly take the edge off the present economic downturn. I imagine that the same situation is true for WNP II5 at Satsop. Both of these plants are valuable assets. Both communities have suffered as a result of their termination. In my mind, it makes sense to consider recovering these plants rather than build two new plants.
