SUMMARY

OF THE MAY 13, 2015, PRAIRIE ISLAND PUBLIC MEETING On May 13, 2015, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing, Minnesota, to discuss the results of the 2014 Problem Identification and Resolution Inspection for Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant. The enclosure is a list of attendees for the meeting. A copy of the slides used by the NRCs staff during the meeting is located in ADAMS at Accession Number ML15127A656 and a copy of the slides used by the licensee staff is located in ADAMS at the Accession Number ML15140A334.

At the meeting, the NRC provided an overview of the reactor oversight program and the results of the 2014 Problem Identification and Resolution inspection. The NRC presentation was followed by statements from the Xcel Energy Chief Nuclear Officer as well as the Prairie Island Site Vice President and other site management which included site priorities regarding human performance. Following the meeting, both NRC and Prairie Island representatives listened to comments and addressed several comments from the public.

After the business part of the meeting ended, the NRC held an open house to discuss the 2014 annual assessment results for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant.
