OF THE JULY 12, 2017, OPEN HOUSE TO DISCUSS THE 2016 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF PRAIRIE ISLAND On July 12, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CDT), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public outreach/open house to provide the public with information on the 2016 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2 and with general information on the NRC. The outreach was held at the Red Wing Public Library, in Red Wing, MN.
NRC personnel were available for discussions related to the NRCs assessment of Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2 performance, which was documented in the March 1, 2017, End-of-Cycle Assessment letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML17055A755).
Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials.
