SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR FEBRUARY 1998 The Unit began the month operating at"100 percent power. On February 6, 1998 at 1714 hours0.0198 days
0.476 hours
0.00283 weeks
6.52177e-4 months
, a scheduled plant shutdown was initiated to refill a primary coolant pump motor oil reservoir and inspect for leakage. The turbine was taken offline at 2315 hours0.0268 days
0.643 hours
0.00383 weeks
8.808575e-4 months
, with the reactor subcritical at 2328 hours0.0269 days
0.647 hours
0.00385 weeks
8.85804e-4 months
.

Following maintenance on the primary coolant pump, the reactor went critical on February 8 at 2100 hours0.0243 days
0.583 hours
0.00347 weeks
7.9905e-4 months
. A delay was encountered prior to criticality to effect repairs to control rod electrical contacts. The unit went online on February 9 at 2030 hours0.0235 days
0.564 hours
0.00336 weeks
7.72415e-4 months
. Delays were encountered during power escalation due to issues involving the Thermal Margin Monitor data display. The unit was at full power on February 12.

Power was reduced by approximately 0.5 percent on February 23 to support Auxiliary Feedwater pump testing.
