Susquehanna ER Acceptance Review Fred:

I have reviewed the sections addressing Socioeconomics and Environmental Justice in the Susquehanna SES ER and found it to be acceptable in terms of subject coverage, data and information presented. Although there were a number of sections missing from the ER, namely discussion of Transient Populations and Area Economic Base (these are Sections 2.5.2 and 2.6, respectively, in the Palisades ER), omission of these sections will not hinder the preparation of the SEIS with respect to these topical areas.

The following additional data would be required from the plant in order to complete the SEIS:

  • .Residential locations, by city and county, of full-time SSES plant employees. Latest data available.
  • Property taxes paid by SSES to Berwick Area School District (BASD), Luzerne County, and Salem Township, in 2005
  • Total annual revenues for BASD, total real estate tax collections for Luzerne County, total municipal and street taxes for Salem Township, in 2005.
