I just left you a voicemail, so Im sending this email as a follow-up.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is preparing to issue an emergency license amendment for Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Unit 2. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.91(b), I am notifying you of the proposed issuance of this amendment.
Please reply if the State of Pennsylvania has comments on the following requested licensing action submitted to the NRC by Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC (the licensee), Susquehanna Steam Electric Station Proposed Emergency Amendment to License NPF-22: Temporary Addition of Analyzed Rod Position Sequence, by letter PLA-8042 dated January 10, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23010A265).
The proposed amendment would modify certain technical specification (TS) for the control rods to allow the licensee to resume power operations after a maintenance outage.
Because this was an emergency amendment request, the NRC did not publish a proposed no significant hazards consideration for this amendment request in the Federal Register. However, the NRC will issue a notice in the Federal Register after issuance of the amendment.
