The purpose of this letter is to notify your staff of the current submittal date of our response to a staff request for additional information (RAI) concerning Thermo Lag.
Related Ampacity Derating at River Bend Station (RBS), letter dated May 12,1997, In a letter dated June 16,1997. RBS provided an interim response which indicated that the detailed response to the subject RAI along with final versions of the associated ca!culations would be provided by August 28,1997. Ilowever, due to the Ore protection engineering resources allocated to support the Fire Protection Functional Inspection, the detailed response to the RAI and the final calculations are expected to be submitted by September 26,1997. This new submittal date to the RAI has been discussed with Mr. Dave Wigginton of the NRC staff.
. The subject calculations are currently being reviewed for final acceptance. Based on reviews to date, changes to the calculations resulting from the resolution of comments did not result in any additional cables exceeding ampacity ratings.
