Current inspection period 2nd REPORTING REQUIRED BY 10 CFR S0.55a(b)(2)(ix)(A)

ASME Section XI, Subsection IWE Steel Containment Vessel Inspection program 10 CFR 5O.55a(b)(2)(ix)(A) requires reporting of the degradation assessment for inaccessible areas when conditions are identified in accessible areas during the performance of the ASME Section XI, Subsection IWE Steel Containment Vessel (SCV) Inspection Program that could indicate the presence of or result in degradation to such inaccessible areas.

Examination Component Indication Acceptability/ Corrective Action Category and Identifier Description Item Number E-A, Item MSB-1-1 Mechanical Isolated locations of the Moisture Seal Barrier (MSB) of the SCV was El.3O (Moisture Damage. identified to have disbanding conditions requiring excavations and

[NOi U1R14- Seal Areas of examination of inaccessible areas beneath the barrier. The inaccessible ROOS] Barrier) Separation. areas of the SCV beneath the MSB were determined to be acceptable by VT-1 visual examination. The examination identified no evidence of complete separation from the drywell liner that would allow moisture to enter the area below the seal. Conditions were corrected by cleaning and replacing damaged areas of the MSB with no Repair/ Replacement Activity required.
