Notice of Intentions Regarding Preliminary Finding from NRC Inspection Report 05000260/2024090, EA-24-075

Reference:

NRC letter to TVA, Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant - NRC Inspection Report 05000260/2024090 and Preliminary White Finding and Apparent Violation, dated September 17, 2024 (ML24255A027)

In the referenced letter, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) identified a preliminary finding and provided options for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to request a regulatory conference to present TVAs perspective to the NRC on the facts and assumptions the NRC used to arrive at the finding and assess its significance or submit a written response to the NRC on TVAs position for the finding. TVA is not requesting a regulatory conference, but TVA will submit its position on the finding to the NRC in writing by October 27, 2024.

There are no new commitments contained in this letter. If you have any questions, please contact David J. Renn at (256) 729-2636.

Respectfully,
