RESPONSE TO HIGH PRESSURIZER LEVEL E0P 35 FR-I.1 Page 2 Rev. 1 A. PURPOSE This procedure provides actions to respond to a high pressurizer level.

B. ENTRY CONDITIONS This procedure was written for Modes 1, 2, 3 and 4 assuming RHR is not in service and SI has been terminated. Using this procedure when not in these modes requires a step by step evaluation to determine if the required action is still applicable to current plant conditions.

This procedure is entered from E0P 35 F-0.6, INVENTORY Critical Safety Function Status Tree on a YELLOW condition.

a. SI pumps - ALL STOPPED
b. Charging to Cold Leg Cold Leg injection valves - CLOSED CAUTION Charging and letdowrt flows should be carefully-controlled to avoid sudden RCS pressure changes since the PZR may be water solid.

RESPONSE TO HIGH PRESSURI?L LEVEL E0P 35 FR-1.1 Page 5 Rev. 1 STEP ACTION /EEPECTED RESPONSE RESPONSE NOT 08TAINED Check if RCP Seal Return Flow Should Be Established

a. RCS pressure > 115 psia a. Go to Step 5
b. Establish flow b. Go to Step 5
1. Verify RPCCW flow to Seal Water Heat Exchanger-ESTABLISHED
2. OPEN RCP seal return containment isolation valves.

5 Check PZR Pressure

a. Pressure - LESS THAN a. Verify at least one
  • 2350 PSIA PZR PO4V and block valve open. IF MOT, THEN open one PORV and block valve as necessary until pressure less than 2350 psia.
b. Pressure - LESS THAN b. Control charging and 2275 PSIA letdown flow as

! necessary to decrease PZR pressure to less than 2275 psia.

6 Verify PZR PORVs - CLOSED Manually close PORVs.

IF any valve can NOT be closed,

! THEN manually close its block valve.
