Normal RCS Inventory and Pressure Control CAUTIONS 1.

If spray water differential temperature exceeds 200'F. then notify Engineering.

If maximum spray water differential exceeds 350*F, an Engineering evaluation must be performed after the event.

2.

If an excessive plant cooldown has occurred there is a potential for Pressurized Thermal Shock (PTS) of the reactor vessel.

During this situation, Pressure / Temperature limits of Figure 4.7 must be maintained.

RCS Inventory and Pressure Control usina PORVs (Pressure Reduction)

CAUTION The use of P0nVs is expected to rapidly depressurize the RCS.

This depressurization may cause a rapid pressurizer level increase such that water would be passed through the PORVs.

This means of pressure z

reduction should only be used if other means are not available.

3.4 Restore RCS pressure control 3.4 using PONVs (Refer to Figure 4.4) a.
