Dear Dr. Murley:

In-Reference 1 (RTS-186), Iowa Electric Light, and Power Company (IELP) requested revision of Section 3.1 and 3.2 of the Duano Arnold Enorgy Contor (DAEC) Technical Specifications. The proposed amendment revisos-surveillance. test-intervals (STIs) and allowed outage timos (A0Ts) for safety-related instrumentation--

and incorporates much of the Standard Technical Specifications

( STS ) . .f ormat .-

IELP' subsequently requested an amendment request (Roference_2) a incorporating requirement.s for additional React.or Water Cleanup (RWCU) system leak detection instrumentation.

TholNRC issued the amendment concerning RWCU instrumentation on November 12. As a result, a clarification to Referenco 1 is required to incorporato the now RWCU instrumentation and assign compensatory actions which are consistent with t.he-Standard Technical' Specifications (STS). These changes are consistent with the int.ont of Referenco 1. Please replace-the appropriate pages of Reference 1 with the attached revised:page.

We have reviewed our earlier evaluation of the change' requested 92120701S5 921124 PDR ADOCK-05000331.
