GPUN requests authorization for the use of OPSG slooves and sleevo pitxJs fabricated from I-690 mterial as an alternative to the I-600 material, in accor2nce with 10 CFR 50.55a(3) ard ASME Code Caso N474-1 for tubular product ard rod foms.
The I-690 material has superior corrosion resistance proporties ard other nochanical properties similar to I-600. In addition, similar uses for the I-690 material have previously been approved by the NRC.
In order to facilitate preparation for the next refueling outage (scheduled to boirg in October 1991) we request your expeditious revimt ard approval of this authorization request.
