While performing visual examinations of mechanical snubbers as required by

Technical Specification 3.7.9, it was discovered that administrative / clerical errors existed in Table 3.7.9-2. Errors included listing snubbers which had been deleted from the plant by approved design changes, listing snubbers

. which served no safety . function, and omission of safety related snubbers from the Table.

V. PROBABLE CONSEQUENCES OF THE OCCURRENCE:

Although Technical Specifications did not reflect installation in all cases, installation was in'accordance with design. The only discrepancy was in transposing design information into Technical Specification tables. Since no violation of plant design. occurred, the plant was maintained in a safe condition at all times. The health and safety of the pub 11c was not affected.

VI. CAUSE:

Previous Technical Specification submittals were generated prior to incorporation

-- of. final linewalk information into the Architect Engineers design documents.

Errors were discovered by the Station during-visual examinations of each snubber installation. This differs from LER 82-180/DVR 1-1-82-388 which discovered errors found during a review of documentation.

Vll. CORRECTIVE ACTION:

A revision to Technical Specification Table 3.7.9-2 is presently in the process of being submitted as tracked by AIR 1-83-30107. Correction of the afore-l mentioned discrepancies will be included in this submittal. As an action to prevent recurrence, Sargent and Lundy has performed an independent review of safety related mechanical snubbers included in Table 3.7.9-2 The results of this review agree with the Station's findings 1
