Thank you for your letter of July 28. I soui'd ippreciate it if you could aend me a list " the members'of the NRC research review group, referenced in y;ur letter, which has been established to review the West Valley burial ground study.

In addition , I would like to receive a more detailed desGiption of the sampling work which is planned for the site. At what location, to what depth will samples be taken , and what sampling techniques are planned?

Finally, could you please explain the absence of any research work on the problems of vertical fractures prevalent at the site?

These fractures may serve as a route for water infiltration into the burial area and may link up some of the discontinuous sand lenses.
