OPERATIONAL READINESS REVIEW OF WEST VALLEY HIGH LEVEL WASTE SLUDGE WASH IRTS OPERATIONS
Dear Mr. Hurt:
Enclosed is a copy of the Project Office approved Operational Readiness Review (ORR) Plan for resumption of IRTS Operations for Sludge Wash, final approvals are expected in the near future.
In accordance with our earlier agreements this letter is your formal invitation to participate in the ORR activities as the NRC
" observer".
I have appointed an ORR Board with Steve Kotola as Chairman.
We have four members of the Idaho Field Office staff, two from NYSERDA, and four from the Project Office for a total of ten supporting the review and expect to have our first meeting on July 30 - August 1, 1991 for purposes of " orientation".
As I have suggested to others, the best time for observing the readiness preparations will likely be the " joint" Board meetings to be held in early September.
Based on your telecon with Mr. Ketola, I concur with your decision to join us then.
At your convenience, please provide us with the names of those you plan to have attend.
This will simplify our security and site access procedures.
