Dear Mr. Hurt:
Enclosed for ymr infonation is the Run Report for the Integrated Radwaste Treatment System (IRIS) Campaign #21. ' Ibis report provides details concernity the operatioral run of the IRIS mcludirg: process description, operational details, system performance, lessons learned ard the results oltained.
Campaign #21 procescd 6,300 gallons of supernatant containity 26,000 curies when the process was placed in stardby beca'tse of the dim of the possible ancuntlation of fissile mterial in the IRIS evaporator. An addittom.1 18 200 gallons of supernatant containdry 48,000 curies was pumped to Column A to saturate the column with the decontaminated supernatant returmd to Tank 8D-2.
Campaign #21 processed a total of 24,500 gallons of supernatant containing 74,000 curies for a cumulative total of 618,000 gallons containing 5,209,000 curies removed frcan Tank 8D-2.
As described to you in other ocanmunications, IRIS processity will resume later this year as the beginnirg of sludge wash.
