DOCUMENTATION OF QUESTIONS ON DOMINION ENERGYS OCTOBER 31, 2019 LETTER By letter dated October 15, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No.ML18291A842), as supplemented by letters dated January 29, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19042A137), April 2, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19095A666),
June 10, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19168A028), October 14, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19294A044), October 31, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19310E716), and November 19, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19329A287), Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion Energy Virginia or Dominion) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or staff) an application to renew the Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-32 and DPR-37 for the Surry Power Station, Units 1 and 2 (SPS). Dominion submitted the application pursuant to Title10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part54, Requirements for Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants, for subsequent license renewal.
By letter dated October 31, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19310E716), Dominion submitted a supplement to the SLRA.
On November 7, 2019, the NRC staff transmitted draft requests for additional information (RAIs) related to Buried and Underground Piping and Tanks and Selective Leaching (ADAMS Accession No. ML19333B961) that arose after the NRC staff reviewed Dominions October 31, 2019 supplement to the SLRA. On the same day, the NRC staff and Dominion held a clarification call to discuss the draft RAIs, where the NRC staff provided additional clarification on its information needs.

On November 13, 2019, the NRC staff transmitted a revision to the draft RAIs initially provided on November 7, 2019, citing draft RAI numbers 2 (Selective Leaching), 5 and 6 (Buried and Underground Piping and Tanks) that would require responses from Dominion at that time (ADAMS Accession No. ML19333B963).
On November 15, 2019, Dominion submitted an advanced copy of the supplement to the application (ADAMS Accession No. ML19333B962), which came in officially on November 19, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19329A287). This submittal addressed the draft RAIs transmitted from the NRC on November 13, 2019.
On November 21, 2019, the NRC held a clarification call related to the draft RAIs transmitted on November 7, 2019 and determined that no additional information beyond the November 19, 2019 supplement was needed at this time.
