Dear Judge Karlin,
I find the July 5th ruling to 11neither grant nor deny BREDL's request for a hearing and petition to intervene" confusing and disappointing. People who live in the surrounding area of the Sequoya facility request that a hearing be held near the plant site. Requesting a hearing is a right of the citizens of this great democracy, as well as the right to clean water, air, and freedom from pollution and environmental hazards. Please reconsider your decision and act in the best interest of the future children and generations in the Smoky Mountain areas, to make the Tennessee Valley the leader in safe; clean, non-polluting energy.
Thank you for your consideration of this request.
July 26,2013 Chairman Alex S. Karlin, Administrative Judge US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel Mail Stop T-3F23 Washington, DC 20555-0001 Judge Karlin, Concerning Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League's challenge of the 20 year license extension request by the Tennessee Valley Authority for the Sequoyah Nuclear Reactors:
I oppose the July 5th ruling that resulted in no hearing being scheduled.
Please schedule a hearing on the matter near the Sequoyah plant site.
