Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure Revision In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(q) and 10 CFR 72.44(f), the Tennessee Valley Authority is submitting a description of changes to the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN)

Radiological Emergency Plan. The affected document, and current revision level, is the SQN Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure (EPIP) listed below.

EPIP Revision Title Ef fective Date(s) 5 58 General Emergency September 28, 2023 The above referenced revision was evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and 10 CFR 72.44(f) and determined that the change does not reduce the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan. Details of the revision are included in the enclosure.

ENCLOSURE: SQN UNITS 1 & 2 DESCRIPTION OF REVISION/CHANGE EPIP-5, Revision 58 Reordered the Notes in Section 3.2 to better align with the priority of notifying the state and risk counties within 15 minutes from the time of declaration.

Removed redundant steps from Section 3.3 and Attachment 3. The steps are contained in Notes in other sections of the procedure.

Combined Notes in Section 3.6 and reordered steps to better align with priorities.

Added clarification to Attachment 1, Block 2; Attachment 6, Block 8; and Attachment 10, Section 1.0 to use the 15-minute average for both wind speed and direction.

Removed the small note on Attachment 6, Block 8 because the information from the note was added to the body.

Removed extraneous bullets from tables in Attachment 1 and 10.
