Change to Timing for Submittal of Information to ACRS Plant License Renewal Subcommittee Related to AmerGen's Application for Renewed Operating License for Oyster Creek Generating Station (TAC No. MC7624)

Reference:

AmerGen's 10/25/06 "Response to ACRS Plant License Renewal Subcommittee Request for Additional Briefing:

AmerGen Application for Renewed Operating License -Oyster Creek Generating Station (TAC No. MC7624)" In the Reference letter, AmerGen outlined its plans to submit information to the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) Plant License Renewal Subcommittee to support a follow-up meeting with that Subcommittee in January 2007. AmerGen indicated it planned to provide two packages of information.

AmerGen has reevaluated its plan and schedule for providing information to the ACRS Subcommittee and has determined that it would be better to provide the Subcommittee with a single package of information that incorporates findings from the ongoing Oyster Creek refueling outage. AmerGen plans to provide this combined package to the Subcommittee and NRC Staff no later than December 8, 2006, allowing a minimum of 30 days for review of the information prior to the meeting being scheduled between AmerGen, the NRC Staff and the ACRS Plant License Renewal Subcommittee in January 2007.If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact Fred Polaski at 610-765-5935.Resp. ctfully, ichard P Lopriore Senior Vice Presid nt -Mid Atlantic Operations AmerGen Energy Company, LLC November 1, 2006 Page 2 of 2 cc: NRC Director, License Renewal Regional Administrator, USNRC Region I NRC Project Manager, NRR -License Renewal, Safety ACRS Staff Lead -Cayetano Santos NRC Project Manager, NRR -License Renewal, Environmental NRC Project Manager, OCGS, Part 50 NRC Senior Resident Inspector, OCGS Bureau of Nuclear Engineering, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Oyster Creek File No. 05040
