ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RECEIPT (TAC NOS. L32064 and L32065)

Dear Mr. Miller:

We have received your applications to renew Certificates of Compliance GDP-1 and GDP-2 transmitted by letters dated April 15,1998. Since your applications were filed on April 15, and pursuant to the provisions of Subsection 76.55 of Part 76 to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, your Certificates of Compliance shall not expire until the NRC has taken final action on the applications for renewal.

Your renewal request for Paducah has been assigned TAC No. L32064 and Portsmouth has been assigned TAC No. L32065. Please reference these numbers in any future correspondence associated with these requests.

We have completed the initial administrative review of your applications for renewal of your

' certificates. No omissions or deficiencies were identified, therefore, we have found it acceptable for formal review. Please note that the technical review may identify omissions in the submittal information or technical issues that require additional information.

Based on our administrative reviews and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our review by October 30,1998. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical rev:ew, urgent assignments, or other factors. We wil!

promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.

A copy of your correspondence has been forwarded to our License Fee and Accounts Receivable Branch, Office of the Controller, who will contact you separately for billing if your request is subject to full cost recovery.
