The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a routine and announced inspection of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant's material control and accounting (MC&A) safeguards program on June 14 - 17,1999. The scope, results and details of the inspection are summarized in the enclosure.
The inspection consisted of selective examinations of core procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations of activities in progress.
