On March 16,1999, Mr. S. Grantham of your staff and I confirmed the initial operator licensing examination schedule for the fiscal year 2000. The initial examination dates are the weeks of October 18 and November 1,1999 for approximately 12 candidates. It is our understanding '

that the NRC will write the examination. The Chief Examiner for the Hatch examination will be Mr. C. Payne.
