LABORERS' STRIKE Laborers' union, local 393 went on strike this morning, May 5,1977 and po'sted pickets at two entrances to the La Salle construction site. No craft personnel were crossing the picket line. Non-union personnel were allowed to cross the picket line. The cause of the strike is unknown, however, the Laborers' had agreed to a one week extension of their contract which expired April 30, 1977.
Licensee representatives stated that posting of pickets at two entrances
'is illegal. The licensee is taking legal action to restrict picketing to one gate. No violence has been reported.
The duration of the strike is unknown.

complete.
