Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

The inspection report transmitted by Mr. Murphy's letter of October 26, 1978, has been reviewed by all concerned parties and we do not consider any of the information contained therein to be proprietary.

The following represents actions taken in response to the item noted in the inspection report.

5. Electrical (Cables and Terminations I) Observations of Work <

and Work Activities (Details II)

Infraction 364/78-14-02, Failure to follow procedures A. Electrical has taken the following steps to resolve the above subject discrepancy:

1. The tray AIE-45 and the cables in tray AHK-27C were reworked to comply with design criteria. ,
2. The power cable (2VBDC06P) was reworked to comply with design criteria. ,

1 B. Corrective steps which will be taken to avcid further noncompliance:

1. A directive concerning cable trays being used as scaffolds and for ladders was issued tc all field personnel by the Construction Manager stating that violators are subject to disciplinary action if caught in cable trays.
3. The Project Manager has implemented the placement of a,igns scatint, " Keep Off the Cable Tr:.y," in various locations on the project.

C. Full compliance has been achieved as of No'vember 10, 1978, by our action taken in paragraph "A" above.
