THE UNIT WAS BASE LOADED THIS MONTH, THERE WERE NO SHUTDOWNS DURING THE WEEK OF THE SEVENTEENTH IT WAS OBSERVED THAT THE MWE QUIPUT OF THE UNIT WAS SLOWLY DECREASINO, CONDENSER TUB; PLUGGING WAS SUSPECTED. ON THE TWENTY SECOND f.T 2100 A POWER REDUCTIuc 'De STAhTED TO ALLOW INSPECTION OF THE CONDENS?.R OUTER PASS WATER E0X, G WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS DUE To Ayr INTrJPMENT AT TH'; TOP OF THE WATER BOX. REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE W,siER 50X AM EJECTOR SYSTEM. THE UNIT STAitTED TO RAMP UP AT 1532 0F THE TWTY FOURTH ANO REACHED FULL POWER OPERATION AT 2225. THERE WERE NO OTHER REDUCTIONS, CURRENT CONTINUOUS OPERATING RUN OF 129 DAYS.

THE UNIT WAS BASE LOADED ThIS MONTH, THERE WERE NO SHUTDOWNS.

ON THE FIRST AT 2318 REACTOR POWER WAS REDUCED , TO 97% POWER SO THAT THE UNIT WOULD NOT EXCEED CORE PEAKING FACTORS (FQ) AS REQUIRED BY TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS. THIS DERATE CONTINUED FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH.

ON THE TENTH AT 0600 POWER WAS REDUCED TO 92% TO ALLOW REPAIRS TO 25A FEEDWATER HEATER. A STEAM LEAK OF THE RELIEF VALVE FLANGE HAD DEVELOPED. REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED BY 1214 0F THE TWELFTH AND THE UNIT RETURNED TO 9?% POWER OPERATION BY 1300.

THERE WERE NO-0THER REDUCTIONS.

.. COOLING TOWERS NUMBERS 122, 123 AND'124 WERE PLACED INTO OPERATION

'DURING THE LAST WEEK OF THIS MONTH. TOWER 121 WILL BE STARTED WHEN REPAIRS-ARE-COMPLETED.
